MAJESTIC MEMORIES

In 2019, I went on a family trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. The enormity of the mountain ridgeline and the vastness of the wide-open air was humbling. I immediately felt their quiet strength and enduring power. There had been destructive wildfires the year before, and we witnessed the charred remains in some areas. But we also discovered new growth and restoration of plants and trees that were peaking through the scorched landscape. It was beautifully inspiring. That despite vast destruction, the land proved resilient, and rebirth was possible and natural.
